We look at you and wonder
At all you have achieved
Not for this worlds credit
But a saviour you believed.
He has kept you faithful
And brought you through the past
Your work for Him continues
And love to hold Him fast.
The trials of this weary life
You have bourn for His sake
And safely to this present day
Your journey you did make.
Following Him regardless
Not heeding what others say
Your all for him you have given
In serving Him every day.
The things of this life you have left
And watched where your Lord has called
Obeying Him with all your powers
This world’s hold for you has palled.
Still you continue unabated
Along the path to endless bliss
Refusing to give up or rest
Until He takes you out of this.
What a day it will surely be
When you see His face and love
Your happiness complete
And the crown with Him above.
