The donkey speaks, we cannot understand,
Pressing our sensibilities against a wall.
Stubbornly we refuse to take the point,
And the words on deaf ears fall.
Waken yourself to the warning,
With evil you dare not dabble.
Return to God with penitent heart,
And save yourself from trouble.
Baalam heard and his mind took heed,
To God he turned his heart.
