Footsteps

He trod the path of salvation for me,
Through Gethsemane and on to Calvary.
Suffered for me, my soul to save,
And rose triumphant from the grave.
I cannot put my footsteps in his,
He went alone to death and riz,
To everlasting fame and glory,
The victor for the human story.
For my benefit and to give to me,
